Rainbow Bridge

The Rainbows Bridge Poem                  Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

A Wake-Up Story

If you would like a healthier home, I can help you with that. Just send me a message or my switching stores site. It is a shame what we are doing to our children unknowingly, and scary. My oldest has ODD, and all I wonder is did I cause this? Did I put chemicals around for him to ingest before I knew the harm I was causing him. Since I have been keeping a chemical free home, and not allowing him to ingest all the preservatives and dies in food, his behavior has improved. I don't feel like he is so out of control of himself or his emotions. I know it is not a cure, but anything that can help my son to have a happier and Healthier life, I will do for him, and in doing for him, I have felt better myself without chemicals. I am not so tired all the time, I don't have as many head aches as I used to, and, for my vain side, my skin has Never been so clear in my life!!!
So take a chance, and Google what you are using and find out the true extent of what is in your home and everyday life, and just maybe it is worth a try to feel better and healthier!

Smartphone pictures pose privacy risks

This is absolutely crazy!!!

Why Twitter?

Most of us are familiar with Facebook, how to use it, and why it is useful. Facebook is more personal, and is a way to learn more about an individual, a business, a group, and more. Over a period of time one can learn much information about people and organizations. A person can really grow to like this person, group, or organization, and possibly feel a friendship or bond.

However, Twitter is a fast way to get to know a larger amount of people, organizations, etc., at a much faster rate. Therefore, it is more information in a short period of time we can learn about others. Likewise, what others can learn about you, your organization, or both.

Twitter is a great way to quickly introduce yourself to many in a short time. You can feel free to join many conversations without feeling rude or others questioning “Who are you?” Therefore, you can quickly gain or build connections that can or will turn into followers. This will allow you to share with many about what you do, what you offer, how you can help, why you and not others, when you hold online events, and more.

Make yourself useful to others, be who you represent, your opportunity, your company, your career, your goals, etc. Therefore, take time to join in a few conversations. Thus, you will gain visibility and grow followers to your page.

Appropriate Twitter etiquette, if someone follows you, be nice and follow back. Likewise, do the same with all your social media sites you have joined and will join. However, make sure you read information or the profile of those that choose to follow you. If it is someone that may have questionable taste, values, etc., then you may not want to follow back. If it is really that questionable, then you may want to learn how to delete or block that follower.

Now you have the possibility of getting yourself, your name, your business, your organization, etc. out there. Think about the many out there that read through Twitter. Therefore, make yourself shine. Find ways to stand out and be different. Maybe if someone admires enough what you do and what you are all about, someone may be ready to give you the opportunity to increase drive to your site or your sales by using you in media such as radio, magazines, newspapers, journals, newsletters, or popular sites that millions visit monthly or daily.

However, the more social media you use, not only will you put yourself out there more, you will also find that you will reach different demographics that can be beneficial to you.

Do you have a Facebook fan page? If not, first add a twitter account which takes a few seconds. Then create a Facebook fan page, and be creative!

Now tell me, how has Twitter been good for you and your business? Do you have any other comments or suggestions? If you do, I would love to know!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring Has Sprung...but not to much here in Maine.  Kids were released early from school for a snow day.  I love the season change.  I lived in FL. for 10 years, and though I like swimming year round, I couldn't take the humidity.  The change of season in ME is the most amazing thing I have seen.  Summer is magical.  If ever you want to see a magical place, meet a local, and have them take you to some local spots of rivers or ponds or waterfalls.  Ah...I want summer!
If you visit during Spring (Mayish) make sure to bring your boots...mud boots that is.  Spring is called mud season up here.  I do also love the change to green, and the water opening up from being frozen all winter.  The one down side to spring for me, is the bugs.  Maine's state bird, the black fly, j/k, is a killer up in the mountains and of course around the farms.
I will have to post some pictures of Mother Nature waking up...when all this snow stops, of course!

Rescue Mission!!

I almost lost my 12 y/o Golden Retriever last night.  She got out of the yard, and we have a swollen stream in the back of our property that has refroze in the past couple days, but it is not strong.  She broke through the ice and landed in water up to her chest.  I figure she was back there for about 3-4 hours, my poor baby!  When I went looking for her she couldn't even whine loud...I had trouble finding her.  I brought my basset hound/pit bull out with me to help find her, and for a dog that is kind of dumb, he really helped me to find his friend.  Thank You Biscuit!!!  I fell on the ice, and called my husband to come help to get her out of the ice hole.  I felt that if she were there any longer, she would not be making  it back home at all.  Thank goodness for cell phones!  He went into the freezing water, which was knee deep, and was able to lift her out of the water.  I sent him in the house to dry up, and I worked on getting Callie back to the house.  That was not my idea of fun.  A 70 lb dog in knee deep snow.  She realized she had to make it back and then she helped me on the trek through the snow.  What was hardest was getting her up the stairs into the house.  She couldn't get on her back legs at all.  I had to lift her.
She is not lying down with my four year old who is spoiling her with treats and bowls of water laid around her.   She is very tired and worn out, but seems to be okay otherwise.
